International students can earn a U.S. diploma from a recognized,
fully accredited U.S. high school.
The American College in Spain also offers a high school diploma through The University of Nebraska High School, a fully accredited program whereby students can complete their high school in Spain.
The University of Nebraska High School advises students individually and assigns the courses necessary for high school completion. Students attend classes at the American College in Spain every day. All homework, testing, and grades are done through the University of Nebraska High School.
The University of Nebraska High School’s blended program offers a complete and rigorous curriculum to college-bound students. With more than 85 years of experience, UNHS is an expert in delivering high-quality high school education to students and schools around the world. UNHS is accredited by AdvancED and the Nebraska Department of Education and its courses are supported by qualified teachers. The core courses are also NCAA-approved, which means colleges and universities nationwide accept and respect a UNHS diploma. Through its award-winning curriculum, UNHS provides more than 100 core, elective and Advanced Placement® courses in eight subject areas to students grades nine through twelve. Established by the University of Nebraska in 1929, UNHS now serves students in all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 countries.
UNHS is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED) and the Nebraska Department of Education. To maintain this accreditation, UNHS continues to meet stringent standards in the areas of curriculum, staffing, instruction, awarding of credit hours, and diploma-granting.
Most University of Nebraska High School core courses are approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), allowing students to earn the credits they need to meet initial eligibility requirements.
